Blog power outage tomorrow night (Grrr…)
Though it is not Dreamhost’s fault, all my Dreamhost stuff will be getting some downtime tomorrow night starting at 1115 PST and hopefully not lasting for more than 5 hours. Apparently the power outage is caused because of… I’m not even sure why. The Dreamhost blog has it all here. This may also mean my e-mail will be down, which would be… bad. Very.
Anyhow, I think we will all try to cope? Sorry about this.
When my host (Cari.net) has a power problem, they have contracted on-demand oil delivered to power their generators… UPC…etc. I’ve never seen my host go down … not even for a minute.
I think it was a question of ‘building power’ rather than DH’s power stuff… so that their internet and all that jazz was out, regardless of whether their hardware was live. Not the best scenario still, I agree. If one day I become really cool and get a bigger readership I’ll be better able to afford something fancy like MT.
