   I read Diana’s post and I tend agree with you Sam. قرأت في فترة ما بعد ديانا وأنا أتفق معك تميل سام. Not using your real, full name from the start with Diana’s reasoning is like saying, “you’re definitely going to screw up real bad sometime in your teenage years, so we better prepare for that.” That’s not the right mentality. لا تستعمل حسابك الحقيقي ، والإسم الكامل منذ البداية مع ديانا استدلال اشبه قائلا : "أنت بالتأكيد سوف يصل المسمار الحقيقي سيئة احيانا الخاص بك في سنوات المراهقه ، لذلك نحن افضل اعداد لذلك." ذلك ليس الحق عقليه. Parents, teachers, and more need to start integrating this type of education in at an early age. الآباء والامهات والمعلمين ، واكثر حاجة الى البدء في دمج هذا النوع من التعليم فى سن مبكره. Your online reputation is equal to your real reputation. الخاص بك على الانترنت سمعة اي ما يوازي سمعة الحقيقي الخاص بك. Kids and teenagers will understand that and protect their online identity as such. أطفال والمراهقين ستتفهم ان وحمايه مصالحها على الانترنت الهوية على هذا النحو. If teenagers can play countless videogames where their “street cred” is so important, then they can understand how to make (and protect) a name for themselves online. اذا المراهقين الذي يمكن ان تلعبه تحصى videogames فيها "الشارع cred" امر في غاية الاهميه ، ذلك يستطيعون فهم الكيفيه التي تقدم بها (وحمايه) اسما لانفسهم على الانترنت. Don’t underestimate a generation that is closer to the internet than they are to their family, right? لا أقلل من جيل هو اقرب الى شبكة الانترنت مما هى عليه لأسرهم ، أليس كذلك؟

   Well, I see evidence for a LOT of kids and teens needing more education when it comes to dealing with reputation online–even if it’s just with Facebook. حسنا ، أنا أنظر للأدلة الكثير من اطفال ومراهقون التي تحتاج الى مزيد من التعليم عندما يتعلق الامر بالتعامل مع السمعه على الانترنت - حتى لو كان عادل مع facebook. That’s because things can sometimes appear very blurry about what is private or what is not. فالسبب هو أن الأمور يمكن أن تبدو أحيانا اضح جدا بين ما هو خاص او ما هو لا. People who don’t realize that joining the “Toronto” network exposes them to a million people. الناس الذين لا يدركون ان انضمام الى "تورنتو" شبكة يعرضهم الى مليون شخص. So, still needs to be a lot of education. ذلك ، ما زال بحاجة الى الكثير من التعليم.

   But yeah, better to educate than to scare away and let people fall through the cracks! ولكن نعم ، افضل لتثقيف من اجل الخوف بعيدا وترك الناس لا يشملهم!

   I have to agree with you, Sam. اوافق معك ، سام. The spirit of Diana’s article is certainly correct, but I think a student of any age would benefit from their own named domain as early as possible. روح ديانا 'sالمادة هو بالتأكيد صحيح ، ولكني اعتقد ان احد الطلاب من اي سن سوف تستفيد من اسم النطاق الخاصة بهم فى اقرب وقت ممكن. Now, what a student does with that domain is another matter entirely. الآن ، ما مع احد الطلاب هل هذا المجال هو مسألة اخرى تماما.

   While Diana is correct that a student could get into trouble if they published their own personal blog connected to their real name and discussed matters they would prefer a future employer or college admissions officer not to see, there is absolutely no harm in creating a professional blogging entity early. بينما ديانا صحيح ان الطالب يمكن ان ندخل في مشكلة اذا نشرت الشخصي بلوق مرتبطة يحمل اسمه الحقيقي ، وناقش المسائل انهم يفضلون مقبلة رب العمل او كلية اعترافات ضابط لا نرى ، وليس هناك اي ضرر في خلق المهنيه المدونات الكيان في وقت مبكر.    Your anecdote in your comment at Diana’s blog, Sam, is very telling. حسابك نادرة في تعليقك على ديانا للبلوق ، سام ، هو يحكي جدا. And indeed, it is increasingly more common that teenagers are becoming more marketable just through having their own domain. وبالفعل ، يتزايد أكثر شيوعا من المراهقين ان تصبح اكثر قابليه للتسويق فقط من خلال وقد الخاصة بهم المجال. I have heard of employers hiring young interns simply because of the favorable results that Google served. ولقد سمعت من ارباب العمل توظيف الشباب المتدربين ببساطة لأن من نتائج ايجابية خدمت ان غوغل.

   Definitely. بالتأكيد. It may have been a minor liability when I was working in the Senate (I stopped blogging, followed the NDA I signed, and didn’t really mention it much) but since then, I have gotten my last two jobs through my blogging–the networking it has brought, the people I have met through it, have been really helpful. ربما يكون قد تم قاصر المسؤولية عندما كنت اعمل في مجلس الشيوخ (توقفت عن التدوين ، في أعقاب توقيع التحالف الديمقراطى الوطنى الاول ، وفعلا لم اذكر انه كثيرا) ولكن منذ ذلك الحين ، ولقد بدأت بلادي الاخيرين وظائف من خلال المدونات - فان بلادي وقد ادى الربط الشبكي ، ولقد اجتمع الناس من خلالها ، وقد تم بالفعل مفيدة. Hopefully this trend will only continue! نأمل ان هذا الاتجاه لن يؤدي الا الى استمرار! I try to help my friends to make nice websites and give out domains as presents, but it is surprisingly hard to ‘infect’ people with the ‘blogging bug’ sometime. احاول مساعدة اصدقائي لجعل نيس المواقع ونعطيه المجالات كما يعرض ، بل ومن المدهش ان من الصعب 'تعدى' الناس مع 'المدونات البق' احيانا. But as you say, a decently branded splash page for a low-hit name is pretty excellent as is. ولكن كما تقول ، لائق لصفحة اصلي بقعة منخفضه تصل إلى اسم جميل ممتاز كما هو.

   Although, we shouldn’t all gang up on Diana–she did send me a nice note telling me that she did agree with me a lot, too, and wished she could have been a little clearer about what she said! ورغم اننا لا ينبغى ان يصل على عصابة جميع ديانا - وقالت انها لم ترسل لي لطيفة علما ان تخبرني انها لم يتفق معي الكثير أيضا ، وأعربت عن رغبتها كان يمكن بقليل من ضوحا حول ما قالت! But it does just go to show that even as it is tricky for an individual to navigate the fine line between self-publicizing and proper privacy, it’s hard to prescribe good courses of action, too–even with the best intentions. ولكن هل اذهبوا الى إظهار أنه حتى كما هو المهاره بالنسبة للفرد الى اجتياز خيط رفيع يفصل بين الذاتي ونشر السليم الخصوصيه ، فانه من الصعب ان يصف حسن مسارات العمل ، وأيضا - حتى مع افضل النوايا.
